6. Deliverables

The main objective of the annex is the production of new knowledge of total building energy use that will enable the development of new strategies and policies for energy savings. The deliverables will be:

• Definitions of terms, indicators and influence factors of energy use  for two building types (offices and residences) (Subtask A)
• Demonstration of case studies of energy use by end use in buildings (Subtask B)
• Demonstration of measurement and data acquisition technologies for long term monitoring (On-line Database) (Subtask B)
• Illustration of the relationship between the characteristics of the database and the statistical/prediction methods that best suit for the data elaboration according to the aim of the analysis (Subtask C).
• Guideline for the application of statistical/prediction methods, with case studies presentation (results about the performed statistical/prediction methods) (Subtask C).
• Manual for methodology for analysis of the effect of six factors on building energy use by end use (Subtask D)
• Demonstration of effect of energy saving technologies, and occupants’ behavior and lifestyle change on energy use (Subtask D)
