The workshop will be dedicated to found a ‘terminology’, including a statement and some specific clauses, for worldwide further study in building energy efficiency. |
|
1) |
Purpose of building energy data collection and analysis. Different methodologies should be used for different purposes (statistics for total building energy consumption and whole situation study, case study for building characteristics study). To clarify specific purposes and select corresponding methodology. |
2) |
Clear definition of energy data. To discuss a clear definition of building energy consumption data and to make a definition of energy “matrix”, in which one dimension is end-use classification (heating, cooling, lighting, etc.) and the other one is statistical “point” of energy flow (building demand, site energy, primary energy). System efficiency will be introduced to explain energy flow. Discussion will base on some examples like definition of “space heating energy data” |
3) |
Energy conversion. To fix on a uniform approach to convert different energy resources so that they can be put together and express the total energy consumption data for a certain energy channel. Discussion will base on examples like CHP system, heat pump, fan & pumps energy consumption in heating & cooling system, etc. |
4) |
Indicator. To discuss proper indicators for comparison between buildings. Indicators including energy per unit area, energy per capita, energy per household, etc should be selected for different end-use energy consumption. |
5) |
Building classification for total data statistics. To discuss main factors that affect building energy consumption characteristics like climate, building function, economic level, etc. |
